In 2004 the a part of the Duchess Anna Amalia Library in Weimar, Germany burned down. A cable fire caused the accident. About 16000 books which fall victim of the burning, have been archieved under certain climatic conditions, waiting for the restoration. The experts still hope for hidden treasures that haven’t been destroyed. The photographs show an excerpt of the stacked boxes, packed with the burned books. Next to the pallet full of grey cardboards, there is one single box from the pack, revealing its content.
